Tanah Lot Temple Bali


Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most important landmarks of Bali,  To many people, Tanah Lot epitomizes the romantic island of Bali. Tanah Lot means The Land in The Sea. The history of Tanah Lot temple was believed to date back to around The 16th century, by a holy monk called Dang Hyang Nirartha to spread the teachings of Hinduism, a respected religious figure in Bali. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst big waves. according to the legend, This temple is protected by holy snakes in the cave under the rock. Balinese believe the Holy Snake will guard the temple from bad and evil things.The temple is located in the Beraban village of the Tabanan regency, an approximate 30 km away from Ngurah Rai Airport.
